October 24, 2023 - Organic Distilling

Join us for a tour and talk on October 24 from 6-8:30 PM at the family owned Western Reserve Distillers in Lakewood, Ohio. Founded by Kevin Thomas, former Nestle employee, he and his wife Ann, run the Ohio's only certified organic craft distillery.

They have more than 20 products in their portfolio and all of their products have won awards both at the National and International level. Some have done better than a few of the big brands in those competitions!

Tequila Aficionado said that Western Reserve Distillers are the first legitimate Agave Spirit distilled in the US to make the category worth noticing. They also produce a premium vodka made from Spelt and it is the only Spelt Vodka produced in the US today!

• Cog Au Vin Blanc - White wine marinated airline chicken breast, caramelized roasted celery root, squash, and carrots, rum raisin preserves, celery leaves, crispy lardons
• Wild Mushroom Pasta - Shiitake and maitake mushrooms sauteed with garlicand onions and thyme in a porcini - tomato broth with braised greens, goat cheese, and Ohio City Pasta pappardelle or short goods
• Shrimp and Grits - Jumbo shrimp sauteed with country ham, sweet smoked paprika, Holy Trinity Veggies (celery, bell pepper, and onion), stone ground hominy grits, aged cheddar cheese
• Apple and Fig Salad - Honeycrisp apples, dried black mission figs, white balsamic vinaigrette,goat cheese, mixed greens, candied pecans
